We Regret to Inform You That Reza is Dead

Our friend Reza is dying, and t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶t̶y̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶c̶e̶l̶l̶e̶d̶

Our friend Reza is dying, but t̶h̶e̶ ̶p̶a̶r̶t̶y̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶g̶o̶ ̶o̶n̶

Our friend Reza is dead, what now

Alyssa, Laura, Mark, Sophie, and Teagan had everything ready for their best friend Reza's last party. The theme, the edible glow-in-the-dark body paint, the pony... But now Reza is dead, and the party is still looming. A council has been called for debate. Do they throw the party anyway, in his honor? Scrap it entirely, out of respect? And why was it so important to Reza that Teagan bring the cake?

Mined from their own lives, fears, and friendships, WE REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT REZA IS DEAD is The Electric Brain's invitation to a celebration of life, death, tequila, connection, and the things we miss.

A beautiful mish-mashing of theatrical genres, tropes, and devices to tell a nuanced and poetic story.
Lowfi house show about a group of people who have had each other’s backs forever, learning how to rearrange themselves through disasters big and small. Rigorous, tight, well-acted, full of genuine tenderness. One of the best things I’ve seen in Chicago.
